Software Engineer in Image Processing (m/f, 100%)

CAScination’s software engineers develop the next generation technology for Otology planning (Otoplan) and robotic surgery. We are looking for engineers bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm and strong technical skills to join our team of engineers. As a software engineer at CAScination you will be asked to contribute to all steps in the development process from collaborating with clinicians, to writing code and automated tests.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop and test innovative software products for the medical use
  • Write advanced image processing and segmentation algorithms
  • Take architecture decisions on a large software framework based on C++ and Qt
  • Design and implement automated tests
  • Help in the support of the infrastructure for continuous integration and build system
  • Collaborate with clinicians to gather input and feedback
  • Drive product decisions along with the product manager

PROFILE

  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent with emphasis in image processing
  • At least 3 years’ experience writing and designing software in an industrial environment
  • In-depth knowledge of image processing and segmentation algorithms (marching cubes, region growing, snakes, etc.)
  • Experience with C++, Qt, OO programming
  • Knowledge of image processing libraries (ITK, VTK, OpenCV, etc.) and DICOM standard is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of software architecture and SOLID principles
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
